The first volume includes fifty-eight hand-coloured engraved maps, hand-coloured tables of the comparative heights of the principal mountains of the world and of the comparative lengths of the principal rivers. The second volume includes nine hand-coloured maps: Terra Veteribus Nota, Graecia Antiqua, Orientis Tabula, Asia Minor, Romanum Imperium, Italia Antiqua, Places Recorded in the Five Books of Moses (three maps in one), The Land of Moriah or Jerusalem, The State of the Nations at the Christian Era; and one chart of universal history and biography. Publisher's ad affixed to the front pastedown. With the signature of William H. Storer, a West Point cadet (Class of 1832) that served in the Army for seven years and fought in the Second Seminole War before retiring to Maine. Small library label to spine, label residue on front pastedown endpaper, small blindstamp on one of the maps.
