With the bookplate of famous collector John Quinn to the front pastedown endpaper. Some faint spots to front cover, short tear to half-title page, light fading and wear to spine. A very good+ copy. Signed and inscribed by Wells on the half-title page to his good friend and playwright Sidney P. Bowkett: "Sidney P. / Bowkett, he / was given this book / by his chum / H.G.".
