Three quarter green calf over marbled boards, spines with raised bands, elaborate decorations in gilt with floral motifs, and brown calf labels lettered in gold, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers. The bindings are signed by Zaehnsdorf and were made for A.C. McClurg & Co. Illustrations by Richard Doyle, J. P. Atkinson, W. J. Webb, George Du Maurier, Frederick Walker, and others. A hint of foxing to fore edges and foxing to endpapers and blanks. Otherwise a bright, clean set in near fine condition. ; Octavo
