Spine ends and corners well worn, previous owner's name on front and rear pastedowns and front free endpaper, old repairs to hinges and verso of title, old dampstain partially affecting the lower edge, some scattered soiling and foxing to text block. The bindings are signed by Zaehnsdorf and were made for A.C. McClurg & Co. Illustrations by Richard Doyle, J. P. Atkinson, W. J. Webb, George Du Maurier, Frederick Walker, and others. A hint of foxing to fore edges and foxing to endpapers and blanks. Otherwise a bright, clean set in near fine condition. ; Octavo
