xxviii, 203, 67pp. Contemporary full calf, five raised bands and gilt decorations on the spine, red morocco label lettered in gold, gilt decorations on the edges. All edges stained red, marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece, seven engraved vignettes and twenty-four hand-coloured engraved plates (nine on coleoptera, three on hemiptera, four on lepidoptera, one on neuroptera, two on hymenoptera, two on diptera, and three on aptera). All the engravings are by Swiss artist Johann Rudolph Schellenberg. Some wear to extremities, light scattered foxing throughout, old mend to flyleaf and two closed tears to two of the leaves, covers a bit sprung. A very good- copy. Graesse VI.528. ; Quarto
