lxviii (misnumbered as xlviii), 335, 269, [2]pp. Recent full calf with raised bands and red leather labels lettered in gold on the spine. Frontispiece, thirty-two engraved inserted plates (one of which is hand-colored), four maps, seven in-text illustrations and a large foldout map of the routes of the travellers. Binding is in fine condition. Old dampstain to the fore edge partially affecting the plates, mild scattered foxing. A very good- copy. Graesse II.361. ; Quarto
